TXM Plant take delivery, the first of several Doosan DX270’s
In December 2020, Neil Gregory, Director at G.O.S handed over to Brian Reynolds, Chief Executive Officer. Brian commented, ‘Thank-you to all at G.O.S and the team who have worked on this throughout these difficult times. We look forward to this being the first step, on a successful programme, into 2021.’
With unrivalled heavy lifting capabilities, the Doosan can place virtually any structure in or around the track with its 15.5m telescopic boom and an in-gauge maximum lift of up to 12 tonnes. The Doosan’s impressive capacity for over-the-side lifting eliminates the need for tandem lifting or rail-based cranes resulting in cost savings and environmental benefits.
We welcome the remaining Doosan’s to our fleet in the coming months to complement the six new Liebherr 924’s that have already been deployed into service, as well as the first of our tranche of Heavy Lift, tracked machines that will strengthen our renewal fleet. In addition to this, TXM is accelerating its upgrade programme, building upon our Gold standard reliability.
This investment forms part of TXM’s strategic three year plan, with ten tracked and ten wheeled machines ordered in 2020, with half of these in service before Christmas. With customer focus at the forefront of our delivery, the expansion of our fleet has been tailored to meet the requirements of our customers’ old and new.
