We are seeking a key member of staff to join our Compliance Team, as a PTS Trainer.

Role – Full-time permanent

Salary – Commensurate with skills and experience

Duties will include the following:

  • Provide Personal Track Safety (PTS) training for TXM Plant as required
  • Management of the NSAR approval, including uploads, conferences and audits
  • Responsible for TXM’s NSAR approved training sites and the future development of these and other sites
  • Develop and maintain TXM Plant’s suite of internal training and machine familiarisation course packages, working in conjunction with the On-Track Plant Trainer/Assessors
  • Ensure TXM Plant meets the RISQS and NSAR requirements to enable Railway Training Activities
  • Current On-Track Plant Operator Trainer/Assessors to report to Training Manager
  • Responsible for the review, impact analysis and implementation of all applicable training
  • Carry out Internal Verification of assessments in lie with CMS requirements
  • Oversee the successful delivery of training, assessment and consultancy to scope, target cost, quality, program and completion
  • Carry out Training Needs Analysis to identify the minimum competence/skills for each job role and associated competence solutions
  • Responsibility for the policies, procedures and activities of the training of staff
  • Carry out presentations using a dynamic style to communicate in an effective manner
  • Help maintain ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 accreditations developing the systems and processes based on continual improvement and the business need to a consistent standard in the corporate format

Essential:

  • Personal Track Safety (PTS) Trainer
  • Must have a good working knowledge of the following:
    • All relevant Legislation
    • Railway Group Standards including the Rule Book, Network Rail Line Standards and M&EE COPs relating to roles and responsibilities
  • Comprehensive training facilitator background
  • Hold a valid Sentinel Smart card
  • Must adhere to Company policy and Network Rail Standards
  • Must possess excellent planning and problem-solving skills

Desirable:

  • Provide Controller of Site Safety (COSS) and/or Machine Crane Controller (MC/CC) training for TXM Plant as required
  • Qualified internal verifier or prepared to work towards qualification from the point of appointment
  • IOSH Managing Safely competence
  • First Aid at Work competence
