Service/Parts Coordinator – Wigan

TXM Plant are looking for a driven and determined individual who will work with a national team supporting operational delivery across the UK.
This is a permanent role based in our Wigan office and will be reporting into the National Engineering Manager.

Duties will include the following:
➢ Provide technical and identification assistance to all machine and attachment component parts either by hard copy, electronic and photographic information or from technical parts books / sources
➢ When the procurement team require assistance, review the parts requisitions and provide direct support for technical parts queries where required
➢ Co-ordinate repair/examination quotation compilation with respective suppliers of major assemblies ie; Engines, Hydraulic Motors, Gearboxes, Axles, Air Compressors – Hydrovane & Knorr-Bremse etc
➢ Directly communicate with manufacturers such as Liebherr, CAT (Finning), Komatsu, New Holland and various European rail equipment providers for technical parts and service requirements
➢ Review and analyse parts usage and replacement & cost patterns
➢ Support any warranty queries between the TXM depots and OEM suppliers
➢ Coordinate just in time parts ordering and build materials list for machine upgrades
➢ Work with the head of engineering for upgrade administration and technical support queries
➢ Ensure the stock control data base/system process is up to date
➢ Support the engineering manager with fleet maintenance updates including job plan changes
➢ Raise corrective work orders on the Maximo system as requested by the engineering function
➢ Support the development of technical service bulletins by obtaining source information and coordinating the detail to the engineering function
➢ Provide reports (usually Excel) on Parts & Service to the senior engineering management team and identify any cost saving opportunities
➢ Provide logistical co-ordination of parts and internal equipment by courier service to TXM depots and suppliers
➢ Support any plant sales requirements with the engineering function
➢ Occasional travel to TXM depot locations UK wide

➢ Construction Plant & Equipment knowledge of parts & service
➢ Excellent computer literacy of parts stock system(s)
➢ Excellent computer literacy in Word and Excel
