As the UK’s largest provider of Plant Solutions to the Rail Industry TXM Plant are taking the lead with our national Plant Maintenance Engineering Apprenticeship Scheme.

As a successful candidate, you will spend three years training to be the next generation of highly skilled Heavy Plant Service Engineers maintaining our national fleet of over 300 machines and 900 attachments to the required standards set by the Rail Industry.
Our Apprenticeship program is be based over three years, with you working towards an Advanced Level 3 NVQ/Diploma in Plant Maintenance (Construction). Formal training takes place at the CITB National Construction College (NCC) Bircham Newton, and the successful candidates will come from our 8 UK depots to spend 3-4 block release periods at College per year together. When not at college your time will be spent at your allocated depot where you will be full supported with onsite training and development.
We have apprenticeship vacancies at the following locations:
- Attleborough (East Anglia)
- Motherwell (Glasgow)
Successful candidates will be entitled to a very competitive package, including the possibility of a vehicle in the final stages of the program with a competitive hourly rate of pay.
Please note: Due to the type of work we carry out and the nature of the program, all candidates must have the following:
- A full clean driving licence
- Achieved a good standard of Secondary education
- Obtained literacy and numeracy functional skills, but not essential as this is achieved during Apprenticeship program
- Live no more than 1 hour from allocated depot (as above)
- Be comfortable staying away in shared accommodation
